In 2018, Kris expanded POMYCAWC to include Yoga and Meditation. Embarking on her own journey, she pursued a yoga teacher certification at Indigo Yoga in Caldwell and continued to earn multiple certifications in Reiki (levels I, II, and III), Prenatal Yoga, and Restorative Yoga. Her passion for trauma-sensitive practices led her to advanced training through BodyWise Foundation, PCPSI, and The Embody Lab, further solidifying the center's trauma-informed approach. With her 500-hour yoga certification complete, Kris transformed a neighboring space into a haven for yoga, meditation, and community gatherings.
Our Philosophy and Mission
At POMYCAWC, our mission is simple yet profound: Explore, Identify, Heal, and Emerge. We take a holistic approach, seeing each individual not merely as a client but as a parent, a community member, and, above all, a person. Our philosophy views counseling and yoga as transformative paths to self-actualization. Recognizing every individual's potential, we believe that each person, by nature, strives toward their best self. Through modalities such as sandplay, yoga, EMDR, and therapeutic play, we create customized sessions, empowering each person to guide their own journey toward healing. At POMYCAWC, every individual experiences unconditional acceptance and safety—a true sanctuary for growth.
Building Community Through Yoga and Wellness
Peace of Mind Yoga offers members a place to cultivate balance and inner peace, aiming to alleviate stress and anxiety. As a membership-based studio, POM Yoga fosters regular practice, connection, and community support for both teachers and members. Our membership model promotes consistency and provides a welcoming space where everyone, regardless of their path, can grow and find peace.
